About Connie

Connie Martin began writing grants in 1996 for the Rochester (Minnesota) Orchestra, at a time when that organization was under new management. Together with Executive Director Elizabeth Gomoll, she established a philanthropic support program for the orchestra, including private and corporate foundations, and state and regional government funders.

Since then she has worked for a wide variety of nonprofit organizations, including arts organizations, school districts, a youth center, and many others. She has written successful proposals for state and national government funders, corporate foundations, and private foundations. Take a look at some of Connie's past clients.

Connie has served as editor of Bass World since 2015 (co-editor 2009-2015), a professional journal published three times each year by the International Society of Bassists. As editor, she solicits feature articles and recurring columns from bassists and educators, and prepares them for publication. She works well with authors, other editors, and organization staff to produce a quality publication in a timely manner.
